For those of you new to WebRings, it is not nearly as hard to join a WebRing as you might think! If you have Spotted Ponies or Horses on your site, we welcome you to join.

We have tried hard to make the process as easy as possible, however, joining is partly automated and if you are still experiencing problems, please email Chris, the ringmaster with as much information as possible and he will do his best to help. It may help if you bookmark this page and perhaps print it out ! .. If however you have done all this before .... carry on !

You will need to insert a table like the one above. The Webring Automated system will generate this for you, with all the correct codes and text in the right places. It will be ready customised with your details so that the contact information and links work for your site. You will still have to put this in your page, and the simplest way to do this, is cut and paste.

Once you have pasted the code into your page, you will need to copy the images into the same directory as the page with the HTML fragment. There are four images, three JPEGs and a GIF. When you have done this, you are almost finished. Your page is complete, your Site will be in the Queue and all you have to do is to eMail Chris the Ringmaster to have your site moved from the Queue to the Ring. To Start the process off, Join the Queue but perhaps you'de better check whether your site meets our Requirements for joining first !

REQUIREMENTS:
To join the ring, you must site must be primarily a spotted pony or horse site or include a significant amount of spotted pony or horse content.

In Britain only, You must be a member of the British Spotted Pony Society, a member of the Spotted Horse and Pony Society (SHAPS), a member of the Apalloosa Horse Society, the British Miniature Horse Society or the International Miniature Horse Society. We will need your membership number before your site can be moved from the Queue.If you are not sure, please email the Ringmaster with details of your Society Memberships.

JOIN THE QUEUE:
The first step is to submit your site information to the Queue

Make sure that the URL you insert here is the one on which you are going to put the graphics and Web Ring code.

AFTER BEING ADDED TO THE QUEUE:
The HTML code has now been sent to you via e-mail. Included in the email are the URL's for the Graphics. They are repeated here for convenience. Please do not change the code to link to our site for the files but copy and upload them to your server

The code will arrive in the form of an eMail. When you get the email, first check that the details at the top are correct.

If they are not, you can edit them by going to [Edit Site Info] (Note that the Site URL listed in the eMail is the URL of the page you are going to have the Webring link on. Please be sure to change it if this is not the case. Your site will not be accepted if the Link is to a different page !)

There is more than one way of inserting the HTML into your page. In the majority of cases, you will need to Highlight the HTML fragment in the email then copy it to the clipboard. If your editing software supports it, you may be able to use an (INSERT HTML) command then simply copy. Some Web Page Editors do not support this however and you may need to view the HTML code itself by selecting (VIEW HTML) or something similar before you can paste the code into your page.

When you have Finished:
After you have placed the graphics on your page along with the HTML code please fill in the form below and let me know so that I can add you to the ring. This is normally completed within a day or two.
